The Chamber of Deputies’ Committee on Internal Affairs visits Luxembourg Air Rescue
At the invitation of Luxembourg Air Rescue, the Chamber of Deputies’ Committee on Internal Affairs recently visited LAR in order to gain insight into the organisation’s daily work.
Members of parliament Guy Arendt, Simone Beissel, Emile Eicher, Claude Haagen, Max Hahn, Ali Kaes and Marcel Oberweis had the opportunity to visit all equipment, both aviation and medical, and learned how LAR is organised and operates.
Following a short presentation of LAR’s activities in Luxembourg and around the world, the members of parliament, showing great interest, spoke directly with staff from the operations department and the emergency call centre.
Impressed by the work carried out, the deputies also listened carefully to LAR’s concerns and were struck by the scale of the challenges the organisation faces on a daily basis. They assured their future support in investigating the sources of the threats to LAR’s life-saving mission.
