Practical information

Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last admission) at the Luxembourg Air Rescue site at Findel Airport.

Tours are free of charge

Donations to support our mission are greatly appreciated

Languages available: Luxembourgish, German, French, English.

How long does a guided tour last and what does it include?

Our guided tours last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. The programme includes: an audio-visual presentation about Luxembourg Air Rescue (LAR), a close-up look at one of our helicopters and ambulance jets (subject to availability), and a tour of the alert center and maintenance area.

How many people can participate in a tour?

Tours are available for groups of 10 to 25 participants. A complete list of participants, including ID numbers and copies of identity cards, must be submitted at least 10 working days before the visit.

Is there an age requirement?

Yes, the minimum age to participate is 10 years.

Are the tours free of charge?

Yes, our guided tours are free of charge. However, a donation to the Luxembourg Air Rescue Foundation (www.flar.lu) is appreciated to support our mission.

In which languages are the tours available?

Tours can be conducted in Luxembourgish, German, French, or English. Please specify your preferred language when registering.

How far in advance should I register for a tour?

Please register at least eight weeks before your desired date by sending an email to redaction@lar.lu. Tours are subject to availability, so early booking is recommended.

What documents are required for participation?

A complete list of participants including full name, date of birth, ID number, and a copy of each identity card must be submitted no later than ten working days before the visit. On the day of the tour, each participant must bring a valid ID.

Can the tour be cancelled or rescheduled?

Yes, in case of an emergency mission or unforeseen circumstances, the tour may be postponed or cancelled at short notice. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
