Precise coordination in the service of transplantation

Luxembourg Air Rescue, in partnership with a French organisation, is the exclusive transporter of organs for all transplant centres in France, with the exception of those in Paris.

Since 1 January 2013, the Operations Control Centre has been coordinating organ transport missions to ensure that the organ's journey from donor to recipient is as quick and efficient as possible.

The preservation of certain organs depends on extremely short timeframes. Thanks to around 800 organ transports per year, countless patients are given a second chance at life.

Partnership

A technological alliance for better response

LAR is a founding member of emergency.lu, a public/private partnership between the Luxembourg government and the companies HITEC S.A., SES Astra TechCom S.A. and Luxembourg Air Rescue.

This initiative aims to quickly restore communications in disaster areas through satellite deployment.

Luxembourg Air Rescue provides urgent and secure transport of communications equipment to restore humanitarian coordination on the ground.
