Romain Schneider, Minister of Social Security and Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs visits Luxembourg Air Rescue
At the invitation of Luxembourg Air Rescue, Mr Romain Schneider, then newly appointed Minister of Social Security and Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, recently visited LAR at Findel to gain an insight into the organisation’s daily work.
During a tour of the facilities at Luxembourg Airport, Minister Schneider visited the infrastructure, aviation equipment and medical installations and learned how LAR is organised and how it operates.
Following a short presentation of LAR’s activities in Luxembourg and around the world, the minister, showing great interest, also took the opportunity to speak directly with the staff of the operations department and the emergency call centre in order to better understand the challenges they face 365 days a year.
Impressed by the work carried out by LAR, Minister Schneider listened carefully to the organisation’s concerns and assured its management of the continued support of his ministry.
