Diplomatic visit to Luxembourg Air Rescue
Luxembourg Air Rescue had the great pleasure this week of welcoming Her Excellency Ambassador Christine Gläser, accompanied by Susanne Boussard, a member of the consular team, at Findel Airport. The delegation from the German Embassy wished to learn more about the activities of LAR.
During a tour of the facilities at Luxembourg Airport, the delegation gained insight into the daily work of Luxembourg Air Rescue. The Ambassador had the opportunity to visit both the aviation and medical equipment and learned how LAR is organised and how it operates.
Following a short presentation of LAR’s activities in Luxembourg and around the world, the Ambassador, who showed great interest, spoke directly with the operations and emergency call centre staff to better understand the challenges they face 365 days a year.
Impressed by the work of LAR, the Ambassador particularly praised the German-Luxembourg cooperation, especially the cross-border helicopter missions carried out in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.
