Within the “Fraen a Mammen” association in Rumelange, the annual bazaar and family festival generate enough income each year for the section to support several social and charitable organisations.
Recently, during the general assembly, president Amelie Zirves-Meloni presented cheques to five charitable organisations.

The organisation supports three schools in Haiti that were destroyed by the earthquake.
With another €1,000, the Rumelange “Fraen a Mammen” also supported the association “Bonneviale”.
According to secretary Marc Hermes, this organisation operates a daycare centre east of the South African capital Cape Town, where 80 children are cared for.
