Training objective

The FOTS training, developed by NAEMT in collaboration with the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), aims to teach the general public the essential gestures to respond to a life-threatening emergency before the arrival of professional rescue.

It is based on interactive presentations and practical workshops to allow participants to act effectively in critical situations.

Educational content

The training combines theory and practice with interactive workshops. The themes addressed are:

Activation of the emergency system (call to 112)
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Control of severe bleeding
Management of penetrating thoracic trauma
Securing and positioning of victims
