Training objective

The ALS (Advanced Life Support) training aims to train healthcare professionals to recognize the causes of cardiac arrest, identify distressed patients, and manage cardiac arrest and peri-arrest situations.

It is based on the recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and emphasizes teamwork, standardization of care and the use of soft skills.

E-learning module and mandatory final test

2 days, for a total of at least 14 hours (excluding breaks)

Skills developed include:

Recognition and treatment of the patient in distress (ABCDE approach)
Standardized cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults
Management of a cardiac arrest in a multidisciplinary team
Use of soft skills (leadership, communication)

Assessment & Certification

Participants are evaluated on an ongoing basis during the training. A final test is organized, comprising:

One MCQ (multiple choice questions)
Practical test (CAS Test)
Candidates who have met the requirements receive an official ALS Provider certificate issued by the ERC
Valid for 3 year
